The idea of the basic layout arises from the set of axes and paths existing in the context; in such an approach the complexity of the plan is to be found that from a principle of functionality and geometrization in the two dimensions then with a subsequent jumps to a complex spatial articulation.
The materials represented in the project are those of the place, poor materials such as earth, gravel, stone; green integrates with them as it happens in nature and creates a dynamic and living ecosystem.
The arboreal essences will consist mainly of indigenous plants and tropical plants chosen according to their exposure and daily insolation; the choice of the species mainly concerns trees, small and medium-sized shrubs, like the Myrtaceae family - Eucalyptus camaldulensis, located in the green filter areas (areas between streets and square), the Rutaceae - Citrus limonum, sinensis, bergamia - in the square “garden”, integrated to the families of the Palmae - Erythea Armata, Washingtonia filifera, Chamaerops humilis and the family of Fagaceae, Quercus ilex; like low bush and bush plants to guarantee an adequate coloring and exaltation of the perfumes of the places, we have chosen the family of Labiatae - Lavandula officinalis, the family of the Bor- aginaceae - Myosotys alpestris, the family of Apocynaceae - Nerium oleander and bush plants to guarantee an adequate coloring and exaltation of the perfumes of the places, we have chosen the family of Labiatae - Lavandula officinalis, the family of the Bor- aginaceae - Myosotys alpestris, the family of Apocynaceae - Nerium oleander.
The project was designed with a post-tensioned slab type load-bearing structure; this construction technique allows for large spans (15/25 metres) with reduced thicknesses (20/50 cm); the vertical load-bearing structures consist of closed central cells (four internal cells) and perimeter load-bearing walls.
